Are Your First Aiders Ready To Go Back To Work?

As an employer or business owner, you probably already have a long list of things to consider as we return to work post lock-down. One of these will be the provision of first aid in the workplace.

You may have already updated your First Aid Risk Assessment to deal with different numbers of staff or members of the public within your workplace, or changed the activities you are conducting. You should remember though that you are still required to provide first aid within the workplace, at the appropriate level to the risk(s) identified.

How Will First Aiders Operate?

What you may not have thought about is how will your first aiders work if they are required to administer first aid. This generally cannot be done while maintaining social distancing. In fact there may be increased risks to them if they are required to administer first aid.

To help first aiders conduct their role safely during this Coronavirus / COVID-19 period we have added an additional section into all our first aid training. This Crononavirus / COVID-19 module will help them to administer first aid while keeping themselves and their casualty safe. We cover any necessary modifications to processes and / or guidance, along with the appropriate use of PPE.

We can also offer this training in a stand along format for existing first aiders.
