We offer First Aid Courses &  Qualifications to suit all requirements, from First Aid at Work to First Aid in the Home, and from Paediatric First Aid (infant and child) to General Adult First Aid. You can browse our courses & qualifications selections below.

Of course, you can complete any of our courses or qualifications you may wish to.  Unless stated, there are generally no prerequisite or entry requirements on our courses.

We have regular open courses & qualifications running in Cannock, Lichfield, Stafford and the wider West Midlands.

HSE & WorkPlace First Aid Courses

All the qualifications listed below are suitable for use in the Workplace. Some are also recognised and / or recommended by the Health & Safety Executive and meet the requirements of First Aid at Work.

Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work

The one day Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) is based on the HSE training standard for delivery of Emergency First Aid at Work for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981, and is recognised and accepted by the HSE.

 
Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (Initial)

The 3 day Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work is based on the HSE training standard for delivery of First Aid at Work courses for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981, and is recognised and accepted by the HSE. The aim of the qualification is to enable learners to attain the knowledge and competencies needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations.

 
Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (Requalification)

The two day Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (Re-Qualification) is for those who already hold a valid in-date First Aid at Work qualification and wish to renew that qualification. It is based on the HSE training standard for delivery of First Aid at Work for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981, and is recognised and accepted by the HSE.

 
Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (Annual Refresher)

The half day Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (Annual Refresher) qualification is based on the HSE training standard for delivery of Annual Refresher Courses for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 and the requirement for First Aiders to Remain Competent.

Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (Initial) Blended Learning

The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work is based on the HSE training standard for delivery of First Aid at Work courses for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981, and is recognised and accepted by the HSE. Our Blended Learning program allows the completion of part of the course via our e-Learning platform. The learner then attends 2 days of face to face training to complete the practical elements of the qualification.

Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (Requalification) Blended Learning

The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (ReQualification) is for those who already hold a valid in-date First Aid at Work qualification and wish to renew that qualification. Paediatric First Aid & Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Courses

For those who have a specific responsibility at work, at home or in voluntary and community activities to look after or deal with children then dedicated paediatric first aid qualifications will be required.

Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid

The 2 day (12 hour) Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid is based on the Ofsted guidelines for people who work with, or look after, children to enable them to have a basic knowledge of how to deal with emergency first aid situations. The aim of the qualification is to enable learners to attain the knowledge and competencies needed to deal with a range of first aid situations which can arise when working with or looking after children. Learners should be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective first aid in emergency situations with an understanding of the role of the paediatric first aider.

 
Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid

The 1 day (6 hour) Level 3 Award in Paediatric Emergency First Aid is ideal for people who work with or look after children, enabling them to have a basic knowledge of how to deal with paediatric emergency first aid situations. To meet EYFS or Ofsted requirements you will still need a minimum number first aiders who hold a Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid

 
Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (Annual Refresher)

The Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (Annual Refresher) qualification has been specifically designed to allow qualified paediatric first aiders to refresh their knowledge and practise essential paediatric first aid skills every year until requalification training is required.

 
Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work & Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid Combined

The Combined First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid Qualification is ideal for those who work in settings that require both first aiders and paediatric first aiders, such as schools, sports clubs or other childcare settings. The Combined First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid Qualification is recognised by both the HSE & Ofsted.

 
Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis

The half day Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis is designed to provide the learner with a better understanding of the causes and treatment of Anaphylaxis. This qualification is for people who have a specific interest or a responsibility at work, at home or in voluntary and community activities, in being able to provide basic life support and manage anaphylaxis when dealing with an emergency. The content of this qualification is approved by the Anaphylaxis Campaign.

Additional & Specialist First Aid Courses

Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator

The Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator is designed to enable Learners to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to provide Basic Life Support (BLS) and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) safely. As this is a half day qualification, ideally you will already hold a first aid qualification.

 
Level 2 Award in First Aid Essentials

The one day Level 2 Award in First Aid Essentials is designed to benefit Learners by enabling them to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of first aid situations.

 
Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support for Adults and Children

The Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support for Adults and Children (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed to equip candidates with the essential skills needed to administer safe, prompt and effective basic life support in an emergency situation.

 
Level 3 Award in Administering Emergency Oxygen

This qualification is for people who have a specific responsibility to be able to safely administer and monitor the effects of emergency oxygen within their scope of practice.

 
Level 2 Award in Activity First Aid

This qualification outlines a range of knowledge and practical skills for providing emergency first aid in activities. Learners will practise assessing and managing an incident and demonstrate how to treat a variety of conditions from life threatening illnesses to minor injuries.

 
Level 2 Award in citizenAID

Three hour QA Level 2 Award in CitizenAID (RQF) for anyone who wishes to learn first aid techniques for use in the event of a shooting, stabbing, bombing or other deliberate incident.

 
Medical Gases Course

Our Medical Gases course is a half day course designed to instruct the learner in the administration of Oxygen and Entonox along with Airway Management.

 
Level 3 Award in Forestry First Aid +F

The two hour Level 3 Award in Forestry First Aid +F is ideal for those working in forestry or similar outdoor environments. The Level 3 Award in Forestry First Aid +F is designed to accompany a valid and appropriate Emergency First Aid at Work or First Aid at Work qualification.

 

Manual Handling Courses

Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling

The Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling qualification outlines the reasons for safer manual handling and the legal requirements. Learners will develop an understanding of how risk assessments can improve safety, the theory of safe movement principles and how to reduce the risk of harm. It is suitable for all employees to raise their awareness of the risks of unsafe manual handling practices and for people who might have to carry out manual handling as part of their job, e.g. handling deliveries, parcels and boxes.

Manual Handling ToolBox Talk / Refresher

A refresher / tool box talk for those who already hold a manual handling qualification. This can be run formally or informally including within the working environment, e.g. in the warehouse.
