Qualification Summary

The purpose of the Level 2 Award in Activity First Aid is to prepare the Learner to develop the skills and knowledge needed to provide basic life support for adults and children. It is also for those who are qualified in providing first aid and are looking to refresh/develop their existing first aid knowledge and skills further.

Who Should Take This Qualification ?

The Level 2 Award in Activity First Aid is for people who have a specific interest or a responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to be able to provide basic life support for adults and children.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course.
You will be required to complete practical activities & assessments during the Level 2 Award in Activity First Aid.
Learners do not need good literacy skills to complete the Level 2 Award in Activity First Aid, but there will be a multiple choice paper at the end of the course. Should anyone experience difficulties with this style of assessment this can be completed verbally in certain circumstances. Please contact us for further details.

The Level 2 Award in Activity First Aid has two units that learners are required to complete.

    • CPR And Safe Use Of An AED (FAE)
    • Choking Casualty
    • Wounds, Bleeding And Shock
    • Catastrophic Bleeding (Optional Extra)
    • Multiple Choice Question Paper – Theory
  • Management Of Illness And Injury In Activities (3 Assessments)
    • Secondary Survey
    • Management Of Fractures
    • Multiple Choice Question Paper – Theory
