Who Should Take This Qualification ?

The Combined Emergency First Aid at Work and Emergency Paediatric First Aid has been specifically designed for those who wish to complete the Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) and the Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF), but who wish to combine them into one days training.

It has been specifically designed for those who work in settings that require both First Aiders and Paediatric First Aiders, such as schools, sports clubs or other childcare settings.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites to attend the Combined Emergency First Aid at Work and Emergency Paediatric First Aid

You will be required to complete practical activities & assessments during the Combined Emergency First Aid at Work and Emergency Paediatric First Aid. Learners should be physically capable of performing this tasks, which may include bending, kneeling and lying on the floor. If you qualification or course includes a CPR assessment, this will be required to be completed on the floor and may last for a minimum of 2 mins.

Learners do not need good literacy skills to complete the Combined Emergency First Aid at Work and Emergency Paediatric First Aid, but there will be a multiple choice paper at the end of the course. Should anyone experience difficulties with this style of assessment this can be completed verbally in certain circumstances. Please contact us for further details. We would strongly recommend that learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.

For learners with English as a second language, a small pocket dictionary may be useful to help translate. If you feel you would benefit from receiving any course materials prior to starting your training then please get in touch.

Learners must be at least 14 years old on the first day of the training.

    • Infant CPR and safe use of an AED

    • Unconscious casualty
    • Choking casualty (EFAW/EPFA)
    • Wounds, bleeding and shock (EFAW/EPFA)
    • Catastrophic Bleeding (Optional Extra)
    • Multiple Choice Question Paper – Theory

Qualification Structure
