Who Should Take This Qualification ?

You should take this qualification if you are looking for a more indepth manual handling course with a practical elements.


There are no prerequisites to attend the Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling (RQF)

You will be required to complete practical activities & assessments during the Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling (RQF). Learners should be physically capable of performing this tasks, which may include bending, kneeling and lying on the floor. If you qualification or course includes a CPR assessment, this will be required to be completed on the floor and may last for a minimum of 2 mins.

Learners do not need good literacy skills to complete the Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling (RQF), but there will be a multiple choice paper at the end of the course. Should anyone experience difficulties with this style of assessment this can be completed verbally in certain circumstances. Please contact us for further details. We would strongly recommend that learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.

For learners with English as a second language, a small pocket dictionary may be useful to help translate. If you feel you would benefit from receiving any course materials prior to starting your training then please get in touch.

Learners must be at least 14 years old on the first day of the training.
