Two to Three Hour Manual Handling Refresher Training
A refresher / tool box talk for those who already hold a manual handling qualification. This can be run formally or informally including within the working environment, e.g. in the warehouse.
The aim of the Manual Handling ToolBox Talk / Refresher is to provide refresher training to those already trained in Manual Handling techniques. It will enable learners to refresh the knowledge and competencies needed to safely access and perform manual handling operations within their workplace.
Who Should Take This Qualification ?
You should take this course if you have already received training in Manual Handling or Safer Handling.
There are no prerequisites for this course.
You will be required to complete practical activities & assessments during the Manual Handling ToolBox Talk / Refresher.
Learners do not need good literacy skills to complete the Manual Handling ToolBox Talk / Refresher, but there will be a multiple choice paper at the end of the course. Should anyone experience difficulties with this style of assessment this can be completed verbally in certain circumstances. Please contact us for further details.
Learners must be at least 14 years old on the first day of the training.
What Will I Learn ?
During the Manual Handling ToolBox Talk / Refresher course, you will be given chance to refresh you knowledge, skills and practical application when it comes to accessing and performing manual handling operations.
The Manual Handling ToolBox Talk / Refresher usually takes one third of a day to complete.

Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling
The Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling qualification outlines the reasons for safer manual handling and the legal requirements. Learners will develop an understanding of how risk assessments can improve safety, the theory of safe movement principles and how to reduce the risk of harm. It is suitable for all employees to raise their awareness of the risks of unsafe manual handling practices and for people who might have to carry out manual handling as part of their job, e.g. handling deliveries, parcels and boxes.
