Who Should Take This Qualification ?

You should take this course you already have valid, in-date prehospital care training and wish to use it as Recognition of Prior Learning towards obtaining a Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care.

Prerequisites

To attend the Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) FREC 3 (RPL) you must have a suitable pre-existing qualification, or experience, in prehospital care.

All RPL must be pre-approved, so please get in touch with us to confirm eligibility.  We will require to see you current certificates.

If you do not meet these criteria then you will need to complete the full five day Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF).

You will be required to complete practical activities & assessments during the Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) FREC 3 (RPL). Learners should be physically capable of performing this tasks, which may include bending, kneeling and lying on the floor. If you qualification or course includes a CPR assessment, this will be required to be completed on the floor and may last for a minimum of 2 mins.

Learners do not need good literacy skills to complete the Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) FREC 3 (RPL), but there will be a multiple choice paper at the end of the course. Should anyone experience difficulties with this style of assessment this can be completed verbally in certain circumstances. Please contact us for further details. We would strongly recommend that learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.

For learners with English as a second language, a small pocket dictionary may be useful to help translate. If you feel you would benefit from receiving any course materials prior to starting your training then please get in touch.

Learners must be at least 17 years old on the first day of the training.
