Qualification Summary
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework states that early years providers should consider whether paediatric first aiders need to undertake annual refresher training to maintain basic key skills and keep up to date with any changes to paediatric first aid procedures.
Who Should Take This Qualification ?
This qualification is predominantly for qualified paediatric first aiders and people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities to provide first aid to infants and children when dealing with an emergency situation.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this course, although ideally you should already hold a paediatric first aid certificate. You will be required to complete practical activities & assessments during the Paediatric First Aid Annual Refresher. What Will I Learn ?
During the Paediatric First Aid Annual Refresher, you will be given chance to refresh you knowledge, skills and practical application when it comes to accessing a incident, managing an unconscious casualty who is both breathing and not breathing, dealing with wounds and bleeding and dealing with shock.
